Council Organization

The Dallas Council of the Navy League in comprised of an annually elected group of officers, including a president, a senior vice-president/president-elect and four vice presidents, along with a treasurer, secretary and a chaplain. Officers are nominated each fall for the following year and voted on by the membership. The Council president may serve no more than two consecutive one-year terms.

Oversight of the Council is provided by its Board of Directors, an active and involved group of current members, ex-Council officers, former active duty military and civilian personnel. Board members may serve multiple consecutive terms and are generally among the Navy League's most vocal and visible supporters.

Members may serve the Council in a variety of capacities as volunteers, assisting with the implementation of membership activities, fund-raising drives, community program execution, monthly meeting logistics, etc. Active participation is both welcome and encouraged.
